The Google Pixel Slate has a score of 79.3, which is a lot better than the Asus Fonepad 8's 55.6 score. The Google Pixel Slate construction is somewhat thinner but a lot heavier than Asus Fonepad 8. The Google Pixel Slate has Chrome OS OS, while Asus Fonepad 8 comes with Android 4.4 OS.

The Google Pixel Slate features a much better looking screen than Asus Fonepad 8, because it has a lot more pixels per inch in the screen, a lot bigger screen and a way higher resolution of 3000 x 2000. Google Pixel Slate has a much better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus Fonepad 8, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.

The Asus Fonepad 8 counts with a little bit better processing power than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with more cpu cores. Google Pixel Slate counts with a battery lifetime that is very similar to Asus Fonepad 8's battery performance. The Google Pixel Slate takes greater videos and photos than Asus Fonepad 8, because it has a much more megapixels camera.

Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus Fonepad 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus Fonepad 8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Asus Fonepad 8, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
