The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is much better than Asus Fonepad 8, getting a score of 61.4 against 55.6. Both devices we compare here include Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has 4.1 version while Asus Fonepad 8 has Android 4.4. Even being the best tablet we are comparing, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a incredibly heavier and a bit thicker tablet than the Asus Fonepad 8.

The Asus Fonepad 8 counts with a better processor than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a larger number of cores and 1 GB more RAM memory. Asus Fonepad 8 counts with a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1280 x 800 resolution, the Asus Fonepad 8 also counts with a greater pixel density.

Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a little bit better camera than Asus Fonepad 8, although it has a back camera with a much lower 3 megapixels resolution. The Asus Fonepad 8 features much more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 64 GB, the Asus Fonepad 8 also has 16 GB internal storage.

So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Asus Fonepad 8, resigning some specifications.
