Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has an overall score of 66.2, which is way better than Asus Fonepad's global score of 53.9. Both tablets in this review include Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Asus Fonepad has Android 4.1. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a newer device, and it's also extremely thinner and just a little lighter than the Asus Fonepad.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features just a little better processing power than Asus Fonepad, because it has a larger number of cores, more RAM memory and a GPU. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a slightly better looking display than Asus Fonepad, because although it has a just a little less pixels per inch in the display, and they both have the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also counts with a little bit larger display.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 takes much clearer videos and photos than Asus Fonepad. Both have a 3 MP resolution camera. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has slightly more storage to install games and applications than Asus Fonepad, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has an external SD slot that allows up to 64 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a bit better battery duration than Asus Fonepad, because it has a 4450mAh battery capacity instead of 4270mAh.
Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is also a bargain compared to others, making it an obvious call.
