Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is much better than the Asus VivoTab 8, with a 61.4 score against 55.6. Despite being the best tablet device we compare here, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) body is just a bit thicker and noticeably heavier than Asus VivoTab 8. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1 OS, while Asus VivoTab 8 counts with Windows 8.1 OS.

Asus VivoTab 8 features a more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Asus VivoTab 8 also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen. Asus VivoTab 8 counts with a quite better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and more cores.

Asus VivoTab 8 features a much greater memory for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB, the Asus VivoTab 8 also has 24 GB more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) captures better photographs and videos than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has a camera with much more mega-pixels.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a very superior battery duration than Asus VivoTab 8.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) costs a lot more money than Asus VivoTab 8, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
