The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a score of 64.8, which is much better than Asus VivoTab 8's global score of 55.6. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 comes with Android 4.0.4 OS, and Asus VivoTab 8 comes with Windows 8.1 OS. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a somewhat thinner but just a little bit heavier device than Asus VivoTab 8. Asus VivoTab 8 features a little faster CPU than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and a larger number of cores (and they are faster).
The Asus VivoTab 8 features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has a little lower pixels density, and they both have an equal 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, the Asus VivoTab 8 also counts with a little larger screen. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 takes clearer videos and photos than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has a camera in the back with a way better 3 MP resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 features more storage to install games and applications than Asus VivoTab 8, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with more internal memory. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a way better battery duration than Asus VivoTab 8.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Asus VivoTab 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus VivoTab 8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Asus VivoTab 8, letting go some features and specifications.
