Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has an overall score of 61.4, which is a little bit better than Asus VivoTab's 57.5 overall score. Even though the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) and the Asus VivoTab were released with only a few months difference, the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) design is somewhat thicker but lighter than the Asus VivoTab. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with Android 4.1 OS, and Asus VivoTab counts with Windows 8 OS.

The Asus VivoTab and the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) count with similar displays, because although the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a little bit lower 800 x 1280 resolution and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher amount of pixels in each inch of display. Asus VivoTab has a better performing processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus VivoTab also has a GPU and a greater amount of RAM memory.

Asus VivoTab counts with a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a camera with much more mega-pixels and a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality. Asus VivoTab has a superior memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 56 GB more internal storage capacity.

Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a way better battery duration than Asus VivoTab.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Asus VivoTab, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus VivoTab. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Asus VivoTab, giving up a couple specs and features.
