Apple iPad mini 2 is way better than the Asus VivoTab RT, with a general score of 77.2 against 61. The Apple iPad mini 2 is a newer tablet, and it is also just a bit thinner and way lighter than Asus VivoTab RT. Apple iPad mini 2 works with iOS 8.x operating system, while Asus VivoTab RT counts with Windows RT operating system.
The iPad mini 2 has a quite superior hardware performance than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has less RAM memory and lesser 1300 MHz cores, it also counts with a GPU and a 64 bits CPU. The iPad mini 2 features an incredibly better looking display than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a way greater display pixels density.
Apple iPad mini 2 has a way bigger storage for apps and games than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The iPad mini 2 features a very superior battery lifetime than Asus VivoTab RT. The iPad mini 2 shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Asus VivoTab RT, although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for taking images and videos in poorly lited environments, a worse 1920x1080 video quality and a much worse 5 mega-pixels resolution back camera.
The Apple iPad mini 2 is a lot more expensive than the Asus VivoTab RT, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
