IPad mini 3 is much better than the Asus VivoTab Smart, with a overall score of 75.3 against 58.7. The iPad mini 3 design is incredibly lighter and incredibly thinner than Asus VivoTab Smart. IPad mini 3 has iOS 8.x OS, while Asus VivoTab Smart counts with Windows 8 OS. The iPad mini 3 has a little faster CPU than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory, and they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the iPad mini 3 also counts with a better graphics co-processor and a 64-bit processing unit.
Apple iPad mini 3 features a much sharper display than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a way greater pixel density and a way higher 1536 x 2048px resolution. IPad mini 3 takes clearer pictures and videos than Asus VivoTab Smart, although it has a lower (Full HD) video definition, a lot lower resolution camera and a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for capturing pictures and video in low-light situations.
The Apple iPad mini 3's memory to store more apps and games is very similar to Asus VivoTab Smart's one, and although the Apple iPad mini 3 has no SD memory card expansion slot, they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity. The Apple iPad mini 3 features a much longer battery lifetime than Asus VivoTab Smart.
Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing, Apple iPad mini 3 is also cheaper than the other tablet, making this tablet a simple decision.
