Comparison review
The Asus VivoTab Smart is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, with a score of 58.7 against 58.1. Asus VivoTab Smart works with Windows 8 operating system, and Galaxy Tab 8.9 works with Android 3.0 operating system. Although it's the best in this comparison, the Asus VivoTab Smart is a thicker and notably heavier tablet than Galaxy Tab 8.9.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a little sharper display than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 800 x 1280px, it also counts with a quite greater pixels density. Galaxy Tab 8.9's memory capacity to install applications and games is just as good as Asus VivoTab Smart's one, and although the Galaxy Tab 8.9 has no SD card slot, they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity.
The Asus VivoTab Smart has a superior performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus VivoTab Smart also has an additional graphics co-processor. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a superior battery life than Asus VivoTab Smart. The Asus VivoTab Smart takes much better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a much better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution.
Although Asus VivoTab Smart is a better device, it costs a bit more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Asus VivoTab Smart, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, resigning a couple specs and features.
