Asus VivoTab Smart is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab, having a 58.7 score against 58.6. The Asus VivoTab Smart is a heavier but somewhat thinner tablet device than Galaxy Tab. The Asus VivoTab Smart counts with Windows 8 operating system, while Galaxy Tab works with Android 2.3.3 operating system.

The Asus VivoTab Smart has a better performing CPU than Galaxy Tab, because it has an additional GPU, more cpu cores and a greater amount of RAM. The Asus VivoTab Smart features just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab, because although it has a bit lower pixel quantity per inch in the screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels and a much bigger screen.

The Asus VivoTab Smart counts with a superior memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory capacity. Asus VivoTab Smart counts with a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a lot higher 1920x1080 video resolution and a back-facing camera with lot more MP.

Samsung Galaxy Tab counts with a much better battery duration than Asus VivoTab Smart.

Although Asus VivoTab Smart is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Asus VivoTab Smart, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab, resigning some specs and features.
