The Asus VivoTab Smart is slightly better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, having a 58.7 score against 57.6. The Asus VivoTab Smart has Windows 8 operating system, and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Even being the best in this comparison, Asus VivoTab Smart's construction is extremely heavier and thicker than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD.

The Asus VivoTab Smart has a better memory capacity to install applications and games than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a much better battery life than Asus VivoTab Smart.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD takes much better pictures and videos than Asus VivoTab Smart, and although they both have the same resolution camera, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a bigger aperture.
