Comparison review
The Asus ZenPad Z8 is a little bit better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, having a 61.9 score against 57.6. Asus ZenPad Z8 is a just a little thinner and just a little lighter tablet than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, even when both were released only 5 months apart. Asus ZenPad Z8 features a little bit better screen than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1536 x 2048 and a little more pixels per inch in the screen.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos is very similar to the Asus ZenPad Z8 one, both have equal 16 GB internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 128 GB. Asus ZenPad Z8 counts with a little better performance than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, although it has a smaller amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores (but faster).
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a superior camera than Asus ZenPad Z8. Both have the same video frame rate, the same (Full HD) video quality, a 8 MP resolution back camera and a F2 diafragm aperture. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Asus ZenPad Z8, because it has a 9% larger battery size.
