Amazon Kindle Fire 2 has a global score of 45.3, which is just a bit better than Barnes & Noble Nook HD's 41.8 general score. Both of these tablets use the same Android 4.0 OS (operating system). Amazon Kindle Fire 2 is better than Barnes & Noble Nook HD, we must note that it's also noticeably heavier and a bit thicker.

Barnes & Noble Nook HD counts with a much better display than Amazon Kindle Fire 2, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD also has a much better 900 x 1440 resolution and a better pixel count in each inch in the display. The Barnes & Noble Nook HD counts with a lot bigger memory to install games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire 2, because it has more internal memory and an external memory card slot that allows up to 32 GB.
