Comparison review

The Amazon Kindle Fire is slightly better than Barnes & Noble Nook HD, with a 42.5 score against 41. Both tablets in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Kindle Fire has the previous 2.3 version while Barnes & Noble Nook HD has Android 4.0 version. Amazon Kindle Fire's design is older, extremely heavier and just a little bit thicker than the Barnes & Noble Nook HD.

Barnes & Noble Nook HD counts with a brighter screen than Amazon Kindle Fire, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD also has a way higher 900 x 1440 resolution and more pixels per inch in the display. The Barnes & Noble Nook HD counts with a much bigger memory to store more games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire, and although they both have the same 8 GB internal storage, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 32 GB.

The Barnes & Noble Nook HD features a little better hardware performance than Amazon Kindle Fire, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD also has a graphics processing unit and a higher amount of RAM memory. Amazon Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble Nook HD both have similar batteries duration.

Amazon Kindle Fire's camera is very similar to the camera in Barnes & Noble Nook HD.
