Barnes & Noble Nook HD is a quite basic Android tablet device launched some years ago, in 2012, featuring a comfortable 7 inches multi-touch screen and a very fast 1.3 gigahertz Dual-Core processor. But let's get into more detail.
This device comes with an extremely fast Dual-Core CPU clocking at 1300 MHz, packed into the TI OMAP4470 chip and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a bit poor for such a solid tablet. Graphic calculations often uses a lot of CPU time, so it has an extra PowerVR SGX544 GPU clocking at 384 megahertz to improve overall performance. A good advantage of the Barnes & Noble Nook HD is its quite large 8 GB internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards, allowing the user to install hundreds of applications without worrying about space.
While this device is quite slim and comfortable it's not even close to being one of the thinnest portable tablets out there, with a thickness of 0.43 inches. This tablet isn't very light comparing to other tablets , with a weight of 11.11 oz.
The Barnes & Noble Nook HD has no cameras at all.
This tablet has a good level 7 inches display with a 900 x 1440 resolution, providing this portable tablet with a very good graphical experience. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
The Barnes & Noble Nook HD offers WiFi connection (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a wireless modem). This tablet doesn't use a sim card, because it's not a GSM enabled portable tablet.
The Barnes & Noble Nook HD is not a good choice considering it is offerred for $ 129, and many similar tablet devices cost much less than that. When you buy the Barnes & Noble Nook HD you also get NOOK Tablet, Power Adapter, USB Cable and Quick Start Guide.
