The Barnes & Noble Nook HD has a global score of 41, which is just a bit better than the Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet's overall score of 38.8. Both of these tablets have Android operating system, but Barnes & Noble Nook HD has newer 4.0 version while Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet has Android 2.3 version, providing you a couple nice extra features. Barnes & Noble Nook HD is a newer tablet device, and it is also thinner and notably lighter than the Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet.

Barnes & Noble Nook HD features a little better processing power than Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU and 1 GB of RAM memory, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD also has an extra graphics co-processor. Barnes & Noble Nook HD features a bit better screen than Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD also has more pixels per inch in the screen and a way better resolution of 900 x 1440 pixels.

The Barnes & Noble Nook HD features a camera that is just as good as the Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet one. Barnes & Noble Nook HD's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery lifetime in Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet.
