Comparison review

The Sony Tablet P has a global score of 55.7, which is slightly better than BlackBerry PlayBook's global score of 50.9. Although the Sony Tablet P and BlackBerry PlayBook were released with only 7 months difference, the Sony Tablet P construction is a bit lighter but also thicker than BlackBerry PlayBook. Sony Tablet P counts with Android 4.0.3 OS, while BlackBerry PlayBook counts with BlackBerry Tablet OS OS.

BlackBerry PlayBook features a bit faster processor than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM memory and 2 cores, the BlackBerry PlayBook also has a graphics co-processor. The Sony Tablet P counts with just a bit better looking display than BlackBerry PlayBook, because although it has a bit lower 480 x 1024 resolution and a way smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater pixels density.

BlackBerry PlayBook counts with a much better camera than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have a same resolution back facing camera, the BlackBerry PlayBook also has a lot higher 1920x1080 video resolution. The BlackBerry PlayBook has a quite bigger storage to install games and applications than Sony Tablet P, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 16 GB internal storage.

The Sony Tablet P features a very superior battery life than BlackBerry PlayBook.

In addition to being the best tablet in this comparison, Sony Tablet P is also a lot cheaper.
