BlackBerry PlayBook is a decent tablet released in September 2010, packing a pretty large 7 inches multi-touch display, a Dual-Core CPU speeding at 1000 MHz, and two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.
The BlackBerry PlayBook ships with a great performance Dual-Core CPU clocking at 1000 megahertz, bundled in the TI OMAP 4430 system chip and 1 GB of RAM memory. To handle graphic calculations, this tablet also has a PowerVR SGX540 GPU ticking at 200 megahertz. The BlackBerry PlayBook counts with anice 16 GB internal storage and whereas it doesn't have a slot for SD memory cards, it is enough to store hundreds of applications, but it may not be suitable if you are fan of the largest games available nowadays or taking tons of photos and videos.
The BlackBerry PlayBook feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, with a weight of 14.11 oz. The BlackBerry PlayBook is incredibly thin and practical, being just 0.39 inches thick.
This tablet features two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 3 mega-pixels front facing camera. It is also able to shoot 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 fps.
Blackberry equipped the BlackBerry PlayBook with a good level 7" screen, and a resolution of 600 x 1024 , making everything look quite vivid. This screen uses LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
The BlackBerry PlayBook offers Wi-Fi capability (but it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot). This device doesn't use a sim card, because it isn't a GSM tablet device.
The BlackBerry PlayBook also comes with a handful of useful features as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
This tablet is priced 400 dollars, expensive for a tablet this level.
