The Galaxy Note 8.0 is way better than the BlackBerry PlayBook, getting a general score of 69.2 against 54.2. Galaxy Note 8.0 comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system, and BlackBerry PlayBook has BlackBerry Tablet OS operating system. Galaxy Note 8.0's construction is way newer, somewhat lighter and thinner than BlackBerry PlayBook.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a quite better hardware performance than BlackBerry PlayBook, because it has a higher number of cores (and they are faster), a larger amount of RAM and a faster GPU working at 1.06 GHz. The Galaxy Note 8.0 features just a bit better screen than BlackBerry PlayBook, because it has a just a bit greater quantity of pixels in each inch of screen, a bit larger display and a higher resolution of 800 x 1280.
The BlackBerry PlayBook features much more storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. Galaxy Note 8.0 has a really longer battery life than BlackBerry PlayBook. BlackBerry PlayBook has a bit better camera than Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have a camera with a 5 MP, the BlackBerry PlayBook also has a way better video quality.
Galaxy Note 8.0 is a lot more expensive than the BlackBerry PlayBook, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
