The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has an overall score of 61.4, which is much better than the BlackBerry PlayBook's 54.2 overall score. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with Android 4.1 operating system, and BlackBerry PlayBook works with BlackBerry Tablet OS operating system. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s design is newer and a little thinner, but also much heavier than BlackBerry PlayBook.
BlackBerry PlayBook features a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have 2 processing cores and 1 GB of RAM, the BlackBerry PlayBook also has a graphics co-processor. BlackBerry PlayBook counts with a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much lower resolution of 600 x 1024 and a much smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch in the display.
The BlackBerry PlayBook features a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. BlackBerry PlayBook takes much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a way more mega-pixels camera in the back and a lot better video resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a really longer battery duration than BlackBerry PlayBook.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the BlackBerry PlayBook, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the BlackBerry PlayBook. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), otherwise you can save some money and buy the BlackBerry PlayBook, letting go a couple specifications.
