Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a global score of 64.8, which is much better than the BlackBerry PlayBook's 54.2 overall score. Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4 OS, while BlackBerry PlayBook counts with BlackBerry Tablet OS OS. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 body is newer, much thinner and lighter than the BlackBerry PlayBook.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a better screen than BlackBerry PlayBook, because it has a better 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, a just a little more pixels per inch of display and a bit bigger screen. Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a little bit better hardware performance than BlackBerry PlayBook, although it has a worse graphics co-processor running at 320 megahertz, they both have 1 GB of RAM and 2 processing cores.
BlackBerry PlayBook features a lot better camera than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a back camera with a way higher resolution. Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a quite bigger storage for games and applications than BlackBerry PlayBook, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 32 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a very superior battery performance than BlackBerry PlayBook.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more than BlackBerry PlayBook, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the BlackBerry PlayBook. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get BlackBerry PlayBook, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
