The Dell Venue 8 Pro has an overall score of 59.6, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab's 58.6 general score. Dell Venue 8 Pro works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, and Samsung Galaxy Tab counts with Android 2.3.3 OS. The Dell Venue 8 Pro is a a lot thinner but a bit heavier tablet device than Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Dell Venue 8 Pro features a superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a larger number of cores (and also faster) and a higher amount of RAM. The Dell Venue 8 Pro has a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab, because it has a better 800 x 1280 resolution, a quite larger screen and a bit higher pixels density.

The Galaxy Tab takes clearer pictures and videos than Dell Venue 8 Pro, although it has a camera with a much lower resolution. The Dell Venue 8 Pro has a superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Dell Venue 8 Pro counts with better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab, because it has a 21% larger battery capacity.

Although Dell Venue 8 Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your money.
