The Galaxy Note 8.0 is better than Google Nexus 7, with a 69.2 score against 59.3. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has the older 4.4.2 version and Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1 version. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a way thinner and a little lighter tablet than the Google Nexus 7, even when both were released with only a couple months difference.
Galaxy Note 8.0 features a little better hardware performance than Google Nexus 7, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a faster graphics processing unit and a greater amount of RAM. The Google Nexus 7 has a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the display.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a much better camera than Google Nexus 7. Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a slightly bigger storage for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a little better battery duration than Google Nexus 7, because it has a 6% bigger battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Note 8.0 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Nexus 7. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Note 8.0, else you can save some dollars and get the Google Nexus 7, giving up some features and specs.
