Galaxy Tab S8 has an overall score of 76.7, which is much better than the Google Nexus 7's 59.3 score. Both tablets in this review come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab S8 has a newer 13 version and Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1, so it provides a lot of extra features. Galaxy Tab S8 is a noticeably newer and noticeably thinner tablet device than the Google Nexus 7, although it is also much heavier.

Google Nexus 7 has a lot better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab S8, because although it has less cpu cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. The Google Nexus 7 features a brighter screen than Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a much smaller screen, a way lower resolution of 800 x 1280 and a just a bit worse screen density.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 features much more storage capacity for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB and 128 GB internal storage. The Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a really longer battery duration than Google Nexus 7, because it has an 8000mAh battery size.

Galaxy Tab S8 takes much better pictures and videos than Google Nexus 7.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Nexus 7. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Nexus 7, letting go some specs and features.
