Comparison review
The Google Pixel Slate has a general score of 79.3, which is much better than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8's general score of 62.3. Google Pixel Slate has Chrome OS OS, and Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has Android 4.4 OS. The Google Pixel Slate body is a little thinner but much heavier than the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with a little sharper display than Google Pixel Slate, although it has a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1200px, a lot smaller screen and a just a bit worse display pixel density. Google Pixel Slate features a much greater memory for apps and games than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with a better performing CPU than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with an extra GPU and a larger number of faster cores. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a much better battery life than Google Pixel Slate. The Google Pixel Slate takes much better videos and photos than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has a much more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Google Pixel Slate, else you can save some money and buy the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, resigning a couple specifications.
