Google Pixel Slate has an overall score of 79.3, which is better than the iPad 4's general score of 70.8. The Google Pixel Slate has Chrome OS OS, while iPad 4 comes with iOS 7.x OS. Google Pixel Slate's body is extremely thinner but just a bit heavier than iPad 4. IPad 4 features a slightly better looking screen than Google Pixel Slate, although it has a lot smaller display, a much lower 1536 x 2048 resolution and a little inferior pixel quantity in each inch of screen.
Google Pixel Slate counts with a much better memory capacity for games and applications than iPad 4, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity. The iPad 4 features a processor that's just as good as the processor in Google Pixel Slate, because although the iPad 4 has 15 GB less RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, it also counts with an extra GPU.
The iPad 4's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery performance in Google Pixel Slate. Google Pixel Slate shoots a bit better videos and photos than iPad 4, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Google Pixel Slate also has a back camera with lot more megapixels and a much bigger aperture.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is way more expensive than iPad 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPad 4. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get iPad 4, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
