The Google Pixel Slate has a score of 79.3, which is a little bit better than iPad mini 4's 75.6 general score. The Google Pixel Slate has Chrome OS operating system, and iPad mini 4 has iOS 9.x operating system. The Google Pixel Slate is a a lot newer tablet than the iPad mini 4, but it is extremely heavier and thicker.
Apple iPad mini 4 features a little bit better looking screen than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a way worse resolution of 2048 x 1536px and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little better screen density. Google Pixel Slate features a little bit better processing power than iPad mini 4, because it has more CPU cores and more RAM.
The Apple iPad mini 4 counts with a camera that's just as good as Google Pixel Slate's camera, and although the Apple iPad mini 4 has a lot smaller aperture which is not so good for low light captures and videos, they both have the same video frame rates, the same (Full HD) video quality and a back camera with an 8 mega pixels resolution.
Google Pixel Slate has much more storage capacity for apps and games than iPad mini 4, because it has 256 GB internal storage. The iPad mini 4 counts with a much longer battery duration than Google Pixel Slate.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is way more expensive than iPad mini 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPad mini 4. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get iPad mini 4, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
