Google Pixel Slate is better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, getting a global score of 79.3 against 66.2. Google Pixel Slate works with Chrome OS operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system. Google Pixel Slate's design is incredibly newer and just a little thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's, although it is also notably heavier.

Google Pixel Slate features just a bit better screen than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a much higher resolution of 3000 x 2000, a lot more pixels per inch in the screen and a way bigger screen. The Google Pixel Slate counts with a very superior storage to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory.

Google Pixel Slate has a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has 2 less cpu cores (but faster) and doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory. Google Pixel Slate shoots way better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a much better 1920x1080 video definition and a camera with way more megapixels.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a superior battery performance than Google Pixel Slate.

Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
