The Google Pixel Slate is much better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), with a 79.3 score against 68.3. Google Pixel Slate has Chrome OS operating system, while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Google Pixel Slate's body is thinner but way heavier than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and both of them were released with only a couple of months difference.

Google Pixel Slate counts with a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a much better screen pixels density, a lot higher 3000 x 2000 resolution and a really bigger screen. The Google Pixel Slate counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with more RAM memory.

Google Pixel Slate counts with a much greater memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Google Pixel Slate counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Google Pixel Slate also has a larger camera aperture to capture better photography and videos in low-light environments and a way better 8 MP resolution camera in the back.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a superior battery lifetime than Google Pixel Slate.

Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Pixel Slate, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), letting go some specs and features.
