Google Pixel Slate is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, having a 79.3 score against 75.2. Google Pixel Slate's design has the same thickness than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, but it's heavier. Google Pixel Slate counts with Chrome OS OS, while Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 OS.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a more vivid display than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit lower 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch in the display. The Google Pixel Slate features much more storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory.

Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has 14 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with a graphics co-processor and a larger number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a way better battery performance than Google Pixel Slate.

Google Pixel Slate takes much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, although it has lower 30 fps video frame rates, they both have the same resolution camera in the back and the same 1920x1080 video definition.

Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
