The iPod touch 2nd generation has a global score of 40.5, which is slightly better than the HP TouchPad's 39.2 general score. Although the iPod touch 2nd generation is incredibly older than HP TouchPad, it's body is incredibly thinner and lighter. The iPod touch 2nd generation comes with iOS 2.x operating system, while HP TouchPad has webOS 3.0 operating system.

The HP TouchPad features a lot better performance than iPod touch 2nd generation, because it has a larger number of faster cores and a graphics processing unit. HP TouchPad features a slightly better looking display than iPod touch 2nd generation, because although it has a just a bit lower screen pixels density, it also counts with a lot higher 768 x 1024 resolution and a way larger display.
