Amazon Kindle Fire is a little bit better than the HP TouchPad, getting a overall score of 42.5 against 40.2. Amazon Kindle Fire works with Android 2.3 operating system, and HP TouchPad works with webOS 3.0 operating system. The Amazon Kindle Fire body is a lot lighter and thinner than HP TouchPad, although they were only released 8 months apart.

The HP TouchPad has a bit better processing unit than Amazon Kindle Fire, and although they both have the same number of cores, the HP TouchPad also has an extra graphics co-processor. Amazon Kindle Fire features a little bit better looking screen than HP TouchPad, because although it has a little bit lower 600 x 1024px resolution and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a better screen pixels density.

HP TouchPad features much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire, because it has 24 GB more internal memory. The HP TouchPad has a greater camera than Amazon Kindle Fire. The HP TouchPad features a much longer battery duration than Amazon Kindle Fire.
