Galaxy Tab 8.9 is slightly better than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, getting a 58.1 score against 56.6. These tablets come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 8.9 has an older 3.0 version and HTC Flyer Wi-Fi has Android 3.2 version. Although Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the HTC Flyer Wi-Fi were released only 1 months apart, Galaxy Tab 8.9's design is much thinner but a little bit heavier.
The HTC Flyer Wi-Fi counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has lesser CPU cores , it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a bit sharper screen than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, and although they both have a greater pixel number per inch of screen, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 also has a bigger screen and a better resolution of 800 x 1280.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a much greater memory to install applications and games than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage. Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a really longer battery life than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
The HTC Flyer Wi-Fi takes much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video resolution, the HTC Flyer Wi-Fi also has a way more mega pixels camera.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a bit more expensive than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
