These devices use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has 4.1 version and HTC Flyer has Android 3.2, so it provides the user a couple additional features.

The HTC Flyer has a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has 1 less processing cores , and they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the HTC Flyer also counts with an extra graphics processor. The HTC Flyer features a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a way lower resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels and a way smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit higher screen density.

The HTC Flyer features a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The HTC Flyer has a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same 1280x720 video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the HTC Flyer also has a lot higher resolution back camera.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC Flyer, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC Flyer. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the HTC Flyer, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
