The HTC Flyer has a score of 58.7, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9's score of 58.1. The HTC Flyer construction is a lot thicker but just a bit lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and both of them were released with only a couple of months difference. These tablets come with Android OS, but HTC Flyer has a newer 3.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it counts with a couple nice extra features.
HTC Flyer features a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a little sharper display than HTC Flyer, and although they both have a higher count of pixels per inch in the display, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also has a larger display and a higher resolution of 800 x 1280px.
The HTC Flyer has a lot better camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video resolution, the HTC Flyer also has a way higher 5 mega pixels resolution back facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with just a bit bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC Flyer, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a much better battery life than HTC Flyer, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The HTC Flyer is not only the best devices of the ones in this comparison, but it's also cheap compared to the Galaxy Tab 8.9, which makes it a very good choice.
