Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a general score of 61.4, which is a bit better than Huawei MediaPad's global score of 56.4. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) construction is just a little bit thinner but extremely heavier than Huawei MediaPad. Both devices we compare here use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a more recent 4.1 version and Huawei MediaPad has Android 4.0 version, providing you a lot of extra features.
Huawei MediaPad features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same number of cores and 1 GB of RAM memory, the Huawei MediaPad also has an additional graphics processor. The Huawei MediaPad features a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Huawei MediaPad also counts with a better quantity of pixels per display inch.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 64 GB and 8 GB internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Huawei MediaPad, because it has a 71 percent larger battery capacity.
Huawei MediaPad captures clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same (HD) video resolution, the Huawei MediaPad also has a way better 5 megapixels resolution camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei MediaPad, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei MediaPad. If you want to save some money, you can get Huawei MediaPad, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
