The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is slightly better than Huawei MediaPad, having a overall score of 57.6 against 56.4. Both devices in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version and Huawei MediaPad has Android 4.0 version, giving a couple nice extra features and a performance increase. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a somewhat lighter and a lot thinner tablet than Huawei MediaPad.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a display that is just as good as the Huawei MediaPad one, although the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a bit larger screen, a way higher 1200 x 1920px resolution and a higher amount of pixels per inch in the display. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei MediaPad, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with 6 more cpu cores and 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad, because it has 12 GB more internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 128 GB. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a way better camera than Huawei MediaPad, because it has a way higher (Full HD) video definition and a lot more mega pixels back camera.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has longer battery lifetime than Huawei MediaPad, because it has a 5100mAh battery size.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a little more expensive than the Huawei MediaPad, but you can get a better tablet for that extra dollars.
