Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a general score of 61.4, which is better than the Lenovo IdeaTab A3000's score of 55.2. Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is older and heavier than the Lenovo IdeaTab A3000, it's design is still somewhat thinner. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has an older 4.1 version and Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 has Android 4.2 version.
The Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 has a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have 1 GB of RAM, the Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 also has a larger number of faster cores and an extra graphics processing unit. Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 has a much better storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 64 GB, the Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 also has 32 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Lenovo IdeaTab A3000, although it has a much less mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a superior battery lifetime than Lenovo IdeaTab A3000, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity against 3500mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Lenovo IdeaTab A3000, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Lenovo IdeaTab A3000. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Lenovo IdeaTab A3000, giving up a couple features and specifications.
