Comparison review
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a little bit better than the Lenovo S5000, getting a general score of 57.6 against 56. Despite being the best in our current comparison, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD body is incredibly heavier and a bit thicker than Lenovo S5000. Both tablets we compare here come with Android OS (operating system), but Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Lenovo S5000 has Android 4.2, providing some additional features and performance tweaks.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Lenovo S5000, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger number of faster cores and more RAM memory. Lenovo S5000 features just a bit better looking screen than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, although it has a quite inferior pixels quantity in each display inch, a little bit smaller display and a way lower resolution of 800 x 1280px.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Lenovo S5000, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal memory capacity, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a really longer battery performance than Lenovo S5000, because it has a 48 percent bigger battery capacity.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a greater camera than Lenovo S5000, because it has a back-facing camera with a way higher 8 megapixels resolution.
Although Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a better device, it is way more expensive than Lenovo S5000, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Lenovo S5000. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Lenovo S5000, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
