Comparison review
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is just a bit better than the Lenovo Tab A7-50, getting a global score of 57.6 against 56.9. Both tablets in our current comparison come with Android OS, but the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version while Lenovo Tab A7-50 has Android 4.4 version, counting with some additional features and optimized performance. Although Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is just a little bit heavier than Lenovo Tab A7-50, it's thinner and noticeably newer.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD and Lenovo Tab A7-50 have really similar processing units, because although the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM and a higher number of cores (but slower). Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has just a bit better looking screen than Lenovo Tab A7-50, because it has a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920px, a little larger screen and a higher pixels amount per inch of screen.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD takes a lot better photos and videos than Lenovo Tab A7-50, because it has a much higher resolution back camera. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has more memory for games and applications than Lenovo Tab A7-50, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 128 GB.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a really longer battery performance than Lenovo Tab A7-50, because it has a 5100mAh battery size.
Although Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a better device, it costs a lot more than Lenovo Tab A7-50, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Lenovo Tab A7-50. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Lenovo Tab A7-50, resigning a couple features and specifications.
