Lenovo Tab A7-50 Review

Lenovo Tab A7-50 is a mid-end tablet launched in April 2014, featuring an extremely powerful 1600 MHz Quad-Core CPU, a quite big 7 inches multi-touch screen, a 5 MP back side camera and a 2 MP front side camera. Lenovo sells this tablet with a very powerful Quad-Core CPU running at 1600 MHz, packed into the MediaTek MT8382 chip with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit low for such a solid device. Graphic intensive apps and games generally uses a lot of CPU cycles, so it also counts with a 416 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU to unload the processor. This tablet has a quite large 16 GB internal storage memory and an external memory slot, allowing you to store hundreds of apps without any trouble.

The Lenovo Tab A7-50 has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.39". Apparently Lenovo forgot about optimizing the weight in this 11.29 oz tablet. The Lenovo Tab A7-50 is only available in blue color.

This tablet is equipped with two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera.

Lenovo packed the Lenovo Tab A7-50 with a good level 7" screen, and a resolution of 1280 x 800 , providing this tablet with a detailed image quality. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This device packs a 3450 mAh big capacity Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery, enough to provide this tablet with an incredible battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that this tablet's battery is non-removable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to lose capacity, even though with so much capacity you will probably replace this device before it becomes a real problem.

The Lenovo Tab A7-50 provides Wi-Fi connection (which it can provide to other devices acting as a wireless router), HSPA+ 4G connectivity, that is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and the fastest 3G internet connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Lenovo Tab A7-50 uses a SIM card for GSM services.

The Lenovo Tab A7-50 also comes with a couple of interesting features such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This tablet is being sold for around 155 dollars, not a really offer for comparing with other similar tablets. It doesn't matter whether you need a work device, want this portable tablet mostly for social networks or want this tablet for playing games, you will definitely love this tablet device.
