Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is just a bit better than the Apple iPad Air, having a general score of 82.4 against 77.9. Even though the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is incredibly newer than Apple iPad Air, it is extremely heavier and just a little thicker. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with Windows 10 Pro OS, while Apple iPad Air has iOS 8.x OS.
The iPad Air counts with a brighter screen than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a way worse resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels, a much smaller display and a bit worse pixels amount in each display inch. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a superior memory for apps and games than iPad Air, because it has 1000 GB internal storage capacity.
The Apple iPad Air has a bit superior processing unit than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has 15 GB lesser RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Apple iPad Air also counts with a 64 bits processor and an extra graphics co-processor.
