Comparison review
Apple iPad 2 is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface RT, having a global score of 62.1 against 58.4. The Apple iPad 2 has iOS 7.x OS, while Microsoft Surface RT counts with Windows RT OS. Apple iPad 2 is an older tablet device than Microsoft Surface RT, but it's a bit thinner and just a bit lighter anyway.
The Microsoft Surface RT features just a bit better looking screen than iPad 2, because it has a little bit higher resolution of 768 x 1366px, a quite higher amount of pixels in each inch in the display and a bit bigger display. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a little faster processing unit than iPad 2, because it has a larger number of cores, more RAM and a better GPU.
IPad 2 captures way better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, although it has a much worse 1280x720 (HD) video quality and a camera with a lot lower 0.7 mega pixels resolution. The Microsoft Surface RT and the Apple iPad 2 have very similar storage for apps and games, and although the Apple iPad 2 has no SD card slot, they both have equal internal memory.
Apple iPad 2 counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.
Although iPad 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Microsoft Surface RT. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
