The iPad mini has an overall score of 68.1, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT's score of 58.4. The iPad mini counts with iOS 8.x operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT counts with Windows RT operating system. The iPad mini is a notably lighter and notably thinner tablet than Microsoft Surface RT.
Microsoft Surface RT has a bit more powerful CPU than iPad mini, because it has 2 more cores, a faster 520 MHz graphics co-processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. The Apple iPad mini features a bit sharper screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per display inch.
