Both devices in this comparison use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 7.7 has newer 4.0.4 version and Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has Android 4.0, so it counts with some additional features and a performance increase.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a slightly better screen than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a little better screen density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 counts with just a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and a Dual-Core processor, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has a faster graphics processing unit working at 608 MHz. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with superior battery performance than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 5100mAh battery size.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has a lot better camera than Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has a much more mega pixels back facing camera.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 7.7, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, resigning a couple features and specifications.
