The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, with a general score of 62.6 against 58.1. Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's construction is somewhat lighter but a bit thicker than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, and they were released only a few months apart. Both tablets we compare here include Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has the newer 4.0 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 counts with a better performing CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has an additional graphics processing unit. Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 captures way better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has a back camera with a lot better resolution.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a much better battery life than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3960mAh.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is a bit more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
