Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Note 8.0 has a more recent 4.4.2 version while Motorola Xoom 2 has Android 3.2, counting with lots of additional features. Galaxy Note 8.0's body is newer, a lot lighter and thinner than the Motorola Xoom 2.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a better performing CPU than Motorola Xoom 2, because it has an additional graphics processor, more RAM memory and a greater number of faster cores. The Motorola Xoom 2 and the Galaxy Note 8.0 feature really similar displays, because although the Galaxy Note 8.0 has a much smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280, it also counts with a higher pixels amount per screen inch.
