The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has an overall score of 61.4, which is a little bit better than the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition's global score of 60.4. Although it's the best in this review, we must tell that it's also extremely heavier and just a bit thicker. Both of these tablets include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has the newer 4.1 version while Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition has Android 3.2 version, giving you lots of additional features and some performance improvements.
The Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition also counts with a just a little greater pixel number per screen inch. The Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition has a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have 2 cores and 1 GB of RAM, the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition also has a graphics processing unit.
Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition features a better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a much longer battery duration than Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition, because it has a 79% more battery capacity.
The Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition also has a camera with a lot better 5 mega-pixels resolution.
