The Asus VivoTab Smart has a general score of 58.7, which is a bit better than Nvidia SHIELD's 54.3 general score. Asus VivoTab Smart's design is notably heavier and a little bit thicker than Nvidia SHIELD. Asus VivoTab Smart counts with Windows 8 OS, while Nvidia SHIELD has Android OS. The Nvidia SHIELD counts with a brighter display than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a much greater display pixels density.
Nvidia SHIELD has a little bit better processing power than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Nvidia SHIELD also counts with a higher number of cores. The Asus VivoTab Smart has much more memory to install games and applications than Nvidia SHIELD, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.
Asus VivoTab Smart counts with a much better camera than Nvidia SHIELD, because it has a way more MP camera in the back. Asus VivoTab Smart's battery life is very similar to the Nvidia SHIELD one.
The Asus VivoTab Smart is more expensive than the Nvidia SHIELD, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
