The iPad Air is better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, getting a general score of 77.9 against 65. The iPad Air design is somewhat lighter and just a bit thinner than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, even when they were released with only 4 months difference. The iPad Air comes with iOS 8.x OS, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 OS.
IPad Air counts with a quite better performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has 1 GB less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the iPad Air also counts with an additional graphics co-processor and a 64-bits processing unit. Apple iPad Air features a brighter display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way better display pixel density and a lot better 1536 x 2048 resolution.
The iPad Air has a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The iPad Air is way more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
